Glenn Mitchell is running for a seat on the city council, and he wants your vote! He is seeking to be seated for Mineral Wells At Large Place 2. A resident of thirty years, Glenn is no stranger to the needs of the city. Glenn has served on the Planning and Zoning Committee going on six years now, and first took interest in government in 2014. He believes he has the kind of profile needed to navigate the large projects Mineral Wells is taking on.
Graduating from East Texas State University with a Business Administration Degree, Mr. Mitchell has spent decades working in fabricating and management. Always finding himself in a supervisory role, he feels well versed in putting together teams and talent that can get a job done. He also mentioned his time talking back and forth with companies in Mexico, which speaks to some of his experience working around bi-lingual needs and with borders. Mitchell holds a great deal of love for everything happening in Mineral Wells and sincerely wishes to use his skills to benefit the city and see it grow.
“The activity that’s going on…it’s just so exciting, and I want to be a part of that.”
It was clear that Glenn cares deeply for Mineral Wells and found himself on quite the tangent when talking about what the city offers. Covering the gambit from parks, to camping, then venues, and biking, Glenn related his joy for all the incredible businesses and individuals behind the city’s charm. Mitchell commented that he is normally a quiet and private person with a tendency to stay away from social media. Believing that the various ways people can be connected these days can sometimes get in the way of making simple conversation. Mitchell said he has come a long way and holds no reservation about speaking up for what he represents. Altogether hoping the voters will elect him to be their voice.
We wish Glenn good luck, along with all the other candidates, in their upcoming bid for city council. Keep up with Goodday to catch coverage of the city council meetings and those who seek a seat. From the ballot box to the big decisions made by those elected, we are reaching out to bring it all to you! We hope ya’ll have a good one!
