Before we all know it; we’ll be swamped with holiday planning. So, before that takes control, let’s look at all the amazing things you and your loved ones can experience this weekend.
This one is specifically for all BHA members! There is a clean up happening this Saturday, September 25th, 2021 at Possum Kingdom. This clean up will begin at 8 am that morning to 12 pm that afternoon. It is encouraged that you bring your family, friends, and co workers for this fun four mile hike clean-up as an opportunity to appreciate one of our most beautiful sights in Texas! In addition to the clean up listed above, there will be another clean up on the lake, specifically Hell’s Gate. This extreme dive will include volunteer divers to tidy up the lake for the fall season. This will also take place Saturday from 8 am to 3 pm. The registration for this will cost $49 which will cover your boat ride out, an exclusive T-Shirt, lunch at Inland Divers, and many door prizes to go to those that attend. Its time to Grow Crazy! The community garden, Let’s Grow Crazy will be having their monthly work day in the garden. This will be happening this Saturday at 8 am. If you like a good Ghost Story, Mineral Wells has got one ready! The Baker Hotel Ghost Walk & Believe Boo-tique, is hosting their well-known Ghost Walks for natives and tourists alike. It must be close to October because the Spooky-ness is already beginning. Also this Saturday Night from 10 pm to 3am, there will be an overnight Ghost Hunt at the Sanatorium. This one is a lifetime tour hosted by the VFW Post 2399. This has one of the largest records of sold out tours since 2018-2020, you won’t be disappointed. Last but not least there will be a Night Hike. If you love the great outdoors; come relish the Mineral Wells starry night sky with a stroll. The hike will kickoff Saturday evening at 8 pm. The following day, Sunday, September 26th, 2021 at 2 pm there will be a 4-h Shooting Sports Mandatory orientation class.
