MINERAL WELLS, TX – On October 6th, 2020, the status of COVID-19 transmission appears to be trending downward according to the current active case reports. As of today, there are thirty active cases, sixteen fatalities, 570 total recoveries, forty-four pending tests, and 672 total positive cases reported.
After a recent transition back to virtual learning at Mineral Wells High School secondary to active COVID cases on campus, the students have returned for in-person learning. MWISD did recently mandate that all students performing poorly or with low/no attendance within virtual learning would be required to return back to in-person learning or seek other options. As of now, TX DSHS is reporting over 9,800 cumulative positive cases throughout Texas school districts since the beginning of the school year.
