Mineral Wells Football Triumphant in Season Opener
On Friday, August 27, 2021, The Rams played their first regular-season game in Castleberry. It was a well-fought battle between the Lions and the Rams, but Mineral Wells came out on top.
Jumping out the gate early and scoring first for the Rams was wide receiver Tristan Gray with a 2 yard run in the first quarter. Following the touchdown, the defense scored off a 30-yard fumble return.
Though It was a back and forth battle between the two teams, head coach Seth Hobbs kept his composure. He went on to coach the young Mineral Wells team to their first win of the regular season, with an ending score of 34-28.
Tristan Gray was a difference-maker in Friday’s game, finishing with 241 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns, as well as quarterback Mason Facteau who finished with 13 passing yards and 0 interceptions (Max Preps).
Moving on, the Rams are looking forward to hosting Western Hills for their first home game, as well as homecoming, on Friday, September 3 at 7:00 pm.





The Mineral Wells Homecoming Parade is this evening starting at 7 pm where they will travel through Downtown Mineral Wells. We hope to see you there!
