Regan Johnson & Jeff Hinkson nominated Cayler Banks in The 2021 Goodday Mineral Wells Top 40 under 40. Here is why Regan & Jeff nominated Cayler:
Why should he be recognized? “At just 25 years old, Cayler has made himself an invaluable fixture of Mineral Wells and Palo Pinto County bringing fresh ideas, new insight, enthusiastic energy, and positive attitude to each and every endeavor he’s tackled. Cayler is ubiquitous in Mineral Wells, especially when it comes to promoting the city. He chose to return to Mineral Wells after college graduation, start his own Marketing company and become involved in the renaissance of the city.
Cayler is a 2014 graduate of Mineral Wells High School and a 2018 graduate of Tarleton State University.”
Professional Achievements: “At Mineral Wells High School, Cayler was very involved with FFA which led him to an internship with the Texas FFA Association in Austin. After obtaining his degree from Tarleton, Cayler returned to Mineral Wells, started The Banks Media Group, and jumped into helping the city re-invent itself. He currently serves on the board of the Mineral Wells Chamber of Commerce and is a committee member of the Palo Pinto County Rodeo Association.
In 2019, he was recruited to join the team to elect Dr. Glenn Rogers to the Texas House. Cayler was originally hired to manage the social media aspects of the campaign but as the campaign evolved, he became a vital team member handling not only social media but was involved in all aspects of the campaign from the mundane to handling highly intricate, detailed plans. Simultaneously, while putting in long hours working on the Rogers campaign, Cayler also ran his mother’s campaign for District Clerk.
Cayler joined Rep. Rogers’ staff in January 2021 and currently serves as Director of Public Relations.”
Activities: “To quote Rep. Dr. Glenn Rogers, “Cayler is the epitome of what you want to see happen when kids graduate from your small town school. He goes off, gets an education and experiences the world and brings those experiences and that knowledge back to help his hometown.” Cayler stays very busy volunteering for several community causes, is involved with his church, Indian Creek Baptist, and enjoys gardening and spending time with his family.”
