
Parker County Sheriff Authier announced the victim of a murder investigation has been positively identified as Shirley Barrington Weatherley, 72. Sheriff’s investigators are still seeking the suspect of the homicide investigation, who is identified as Clayton Ray Strong, 73.
Shirley Barrington Weatherley was found in the front yard of her residence on Aug. 7, by family members after not hearing from her for three days and arrived at the home to check on her. Family members contacted the Sheriff’s Office which initiated the murder investigation. Strong was later captured on video surveillance in an Eagle Pass department store parking lot, abandoning a weapon. His current location is unknown. Sheriff’s investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Strong.
Sheriff Authier cautions the public not to approach the suspect if he is located. “We believe the suspect is armed and dangerous,” said Sheriff Authier. “He was last seen driving a 1996 primer gray Chevrolet extended cab truck.”Strong as described as 5-feet-6-inches tall, weighing approximately 200-pounds, and having white/silver hair. He is known to have a mustache and wears glasses.
