Why should he be recognized? “Joel epitomizes what it is to be a great man. He is the sort of person that I hope and pray my children become. Never have I met someone with such a servant’s heart and a true and honest passion to make the world around him better. Among the countless selfless acts he has accomplished, he has coached youth sports teams, delivers meals on wheels weekly, and works tirelessly to help anyone in need- humbly and without expectation. There is no one I have met more deserving of this recognition.”
Professional Achievements: “Joel enjoyed a successful career in the electrical supply industry before returning home to partner with his brother to provide affordable housing for some of our impoverished citizens, several of which would have been undoubtedly homeless had it not been for their generosity. I recall Joel finding that someone broke into and was living inside his RV, but instead of calling the police, he instead counseled the man and moved him into an apartment rent-free for months to help him get on his feet.”
Activities: “Joel enjoys golf, travel, attending live music, camping, being active in his church and community, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and truly most of all, spending time with his family.”
