Mary Alsip

March 7, 1953 – July 24, 2021


Mary Alsip, 68, went home to her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 24, 2021. She was born March 7, 1953 in Cleveland, Texas to James Calloway Tucker and Gladys Louise Tucker. She married James Marvin Alsip on November 19, 1971. They had 3 children Latricia, Brian, and Hoppy.

Mary was a bright light to all who knew her, and she will be remembered for her infectious smile and generous heart. She loved music, board games, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Gladys; sister-in-law Janie Foster; brother-in-law, John Baker; nieces, Karen Tucker and Rachelle Baker; and her beloved husband, Marvin.

Survivors include her sister, Pearlie Baker; brothers, Calvin Tucker and wife Anita, and James Tucker; children, Trish Alsip, Brian Alsip, and Hoppy Alsip; grandchildren, Courtney, Austin, Kaitlynn, Caleb, Joshua, Ian, Rayleigh, Emily, Lillie, Loralei, Ava, Luke, and Wyatt; great-grandchildren, Ava, Claire, Mia, Cora, and Elizabeth; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, July 30, 2020 at Mineral Wells Church of God. Burial will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Tuggle Springs Cemetery in Bagwell, Texas.
