Howdy, All! It’s Krista here with your weekend events. I hope you all are ready to get Crazy! Because I have a whirlwind of festivities for you. 

First let’s Start with all the rodeo events.

  • Friday night following the rodeo there will be an old-fashioned hoedown! The PPCLA 2021 Rodeo Street Dance, will begin at 9 pm, located at our local, Community National Bank & Trust.   • If you have always wanted to try your hand at rodeo games; here’s your chance! There will be a Rodeo Zone, downtown located in the Parking Lot Behind The Market at 76067. The excitement is set to begin from 12 pm-5 pm Saturday afternoon. The activities will include Robo bull riding, barrel racing, pole bending, and much more!   • Also this Saturday, at 3 pm, The PPCLA 2021 Parade will be happening downtown! I hope you all can come out to see the beautiful floats, as well as our amazing community members. 

But, that’s not all! 

  • If you and your significant other need some alone time. The Clark Gardens, located at 567 Maddux Rd, Weatherford TX, is hosting a 21+Date Night just for the occasion. This will take place Friday, May 14th at 5:30 pm. All couples may bring a picnic-basket-style meal and something appropriate to drink.   • Now that spring is here; it might be time to enjoy it! Come for a Wildflower Walk at our Mineral Wells State Park; this Saturday at 10 am! The walk will be narrated by Park Ranger, David Owens.   • Everyone loves food, but not everyone knows how to cook it! Don’t worry, Coffee & Cocktails will be hosting a cooking class this Saturday from 7-10 pm. All who attend will be learning how to make homemade three-cheese ravioli and bread pudding with vanilla butter sauce. To learn this tasty recipe will only cost students $75.   • If you enjoy listening to live music, Coffee & Cocktails just keeps to good times coming. Alex Butler is setting the stage at 8 pm Saturday Night! For specifics please see the Facebook link: https://fb.me/e/4EeQ91U3s
  • Last but not least, it’s all about family at the end of the day! The Mineral Wells Police Officers Association is excited to present the Croods: New Age. This movie night will commence Saturday, May 15th at 9 pm at West City Park. This event is free to all who attend and there will be popcorn, cotton candy while it’s available.
