Michael “Mike” John Bullock

Mineral Wells – Michael John Bullock, 74, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021.
Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2021 at White’s Mineral Wells Chapel, 101 N. E. 4th Ave., Mineral Wells.
Mike was born November 24, 1946 in Dallas, son of the late Jack Reed Bullock and Margie Lynn Christie Bullock. He met the love of his life, Dawna Montgomery, they were married in 1999 and blessed to blend their family of three wonderful children. Mike lived his life dedicated in service to his country in the United States Air Force during Vietnam, followed by his long service to his community with the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office from 1970 to 1994. During his service with the Sheriff’s Department he held ranks from Deputy, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Detective, Captain and Undersheriff. In 1994, Mike ventured out of law enforcement to become a successful business owner of Rocky Mountain RV. In 2005, Mike and Dawna sold their business in Colorado and moved to Possum Kingdom Lake, Texas where Mike enjoyed his life of fishing, boating and spending time with his grandchildren.
Mike was a larger than life man, everyone knew when he entered a room. He loved playing pranks on people, especially those he was close to or worked with, and everyone would get a nickname moments after meeting Mike. He was known to his wife as “Moose” because he gave her the nickname “Stumpy”. Mike will be remembered by all for his unique sense of humor, his story telling, his love of old westerns, country music and friend and family gatherings.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margie Christie Bullock; father, Jack Reed Bullock; brothers, Jack Melvin Bullock, and Scott Bullock.
Survivors: Wife, Dawna Montgomery Bullock; daughter, Stephanie Lynn Bullock Beiermann; sons, Steven Michael Bullock and David Anthony Archuleta; grandchildren, Katie Lynn
Beiermann, Joseph Jeffrey Beiermann, Jamison Michael Bullock, Juliette Marie Bullock, Ryder Daniel Bullock, Jacob “Bubba” Archuleta, Alexander Gene Archuleta, Jacob Lee Lightner (Archuleta), and Julie Marie Archuleta; brother, James Christie Bullock; and many extended family members and friends.
