Saturday, May 23rd, Mineral Wells High School was host to royalty. In the 85th annual Coronation ceremony, two MWHS seniors were crowned King and Queen in front of their peers and community, as voted on by their peers at MWHS. King Andy Tristan and Queen Alexis Valley-Ramirez were crowned following the Royal Court and Court of Beauty presentation by fellow students Makenzie Lawhon and Emilio Infante during the ceremony. King and Queen took their seats off stage to watch the rest of the ceremony, be entertained by some very talented MWHS students, and watch representatives from each MWHS organization be honored.

Entertainers for the night were all musical talents from the student body. They showed off a range of skills from original songs written as a tribute to the soon-to-be graduating senior class to a Seven Nation Army cover ending with crowd surfing by guitar playing, lead singing, senior Cambren Morrison, as well as a flute trio and a couple of solo singers showing off their vocal talents in a range of songs.
