
At 1pm April 1st, 2021 Mineral Wells officers met with Palo Pinto Sheriffs deputies and DPS Troopers at the Mineral Wells DPS office and displayed their red and blue lights for one minute to honor Trooper Chad Walker. “Our hearts are with the family and friends of Trooper Walker.”-Mineral Wells Police Department

Last week Trooper Chad Walker Was shot in the line of duty. Walker had stopped to assist a driver alongside a highway near Mexia, Texas, and the driver shot Walker multiple times. Law enforcement officials had said on Tuesday he was showing no signs of viable brain activity. Walker had been kept on life support so he could gift many others by being an organ donor.
