The Community Christian School Warriors took the first round in a competitive matchup against the Grace Academy Griffins. Leading the Warriors offensively was Senior guard Josh Guzman with 25 points and 4 assists, followed by Junior guard Jackson Horton with 19 points with 4 rebounds, and Horton also had an impressive defensive night as well with 4 steals.
The CCS Warriors play round 2 on Tuesday 3/2 (unconfirmed) against Harvest Christian Academy.
CCS Lady Warriors 105, Methodist Children’s Home 4
The Ladies of CCS took a huge first round win against Methodist Children’s of Waco to move on to the Semi-Final round. Leading the attack was Senior guard Hena Spahic with 27 points, 14 steals, and 8 assists, and just behind her was Senior Elaina Buchanan with 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 steals. Every Lady Warrior scored in this matchup, and defensive stand outs were Spahic, E. Buchanan, and Jersey Davila with 9 steals.
The CCS Lady Warriors meet up with St. Paul’s Prep today (Monday,3/1) for the TCAF Semi-final game.
