The Mineral Wells Rams closed out their season at home with a tough loss to the Wichita Falls Hirschi Huskies. The Huskies are sitting on top of the district rankings and are undefeated in district play this season. The Huskies frustrated the Rams early on and grabbed a lead and the Rams could not recover. The Rams were also heavily outnumbered by the Huskies who had a deep bench to work with. Big efforts from Rams including Landon Russell, Charles Carter, Robbie Gillen, and Luke Bullock were, unfortunately, not enough.

The real highlight came after the game, when the 3 Ram seniors were honored for their time on the court. Charles Carter, Caleb Clark and Luke Bullock were announced, photographed, and given gifts by teammates and coaches.

In a video posted to Facebook by MWISD, the 3 young men shared their favorite memories of playing basketball and their future plans. Bullock, who since this game was played has been named the Dale Hansen Scholar Athlete of the Week plans to attend Texas A&M after graduation. Carter is still shopping for his next stop and is pursuing playing football at the next level, with a couple of offers on the table. And Clark is going to Harding University to study engineering.
