Seth Hobbs was named the new boys’ athletic director and head football coach. His plan for his new roles is fairly simple, he said at the meeting.

“My plan is to be successful. So what does that look like?” Hobbs said. “Discipline and hard work… that equals success.”

Tony Raffaele was named the new girls’ athletic director. He hopes to help change the mindset some have about Mineral Wells through his work in girls’ athletics, he explained at the meeting.

“My main concern… is changing the mentality of Mineral Wells,” he said.

Superintendent Kuhns expressed his excitement for the future of the athletic programs with new coaches at the helm.

“We have extremely, extremely successful coaches in these two men here who have given their all and poured themselves into this school district,” he said.
