Jonny Goodday | Goodday Mineral Wells | 12/08/2020 | Local Business Review
In August, Scott Landreth partnered with Amanda Chavira on creating a food delivery/rideshare business for Mineral Wells. Something this town has been lacking that the bigger metroplexes have grown so accustomed to.
Scott has built this business from scratch and Amanda handles the social media side of the business. I tested it out to see if it holds up to the more mainstream delivery services we are familiar with. At this time, all services are provided through their website crazydeliveries.com. Scott is currently working on an app as the business grows.
The website is mobile-friendly as I ordered Antojeria DF Mexican Food from my cellphone. The layout was very straightforward and easy to understand. Prices for the dinners appear to be the same as if you ordered them in-store, and the delivery charge ranges from three dollars to five dollars depending on how close you are to the restaurant/shop. It is a great relief to see that it won’t break the bank to get something that traditionally wouldn’t be delivered brought to your house quickly. After the order was made, a text and email were sent to my phone to keep me updated on my order. I was notified that the order would arrive within thirty minutes. I received the order in twenty-five minutes, and everything was hot. Complimentary chips and salsa were included, which was a nice touch.
I was really impressed with how well this works. Some updates are coming soon. If you want to do contactless delivery, you must call to pay because currently, the main option is to pay the driver. Soon the website will allow you to pay directly to the website. They currently have three drivers on standby ready to pick up deliveries or people needing rides, and 100% of the tips go directly to the drivers.
Currently you can order food from:
- Dairy Mart
- Brandon’s Kitchen
- Woody’s Bar & Grill
- Antojeria DF Mexican Food
- Boomer’s Burgers & More
- Downtown Cantina
- Jamie’s German Restaurant
- Mineral Wells Nutrition
Many other stores and restaurants are joining soon, like The Market at 76067 and 940 Vapes.
Currently, Scott is talking with a few businesses in Graford, TX about offering the same services to that area. If you haven’t given Crazy Deliveries a try yet, I would highly recommend it. Whether you are practicing social distancing, in quarantine, or don’t want to cook today, it is nice to see these options coming to Mineral Wells. To check it out for yourself, go to crazydeliveries.com.
