MINERAL WELLS, TX – Due to nearby police activity, students and staff at Mineral Wells Houston Elementary were placed on a temporary lockout today (11/4/2020).
According to Mineral Wells ISD, “All students and staff at Houston Elementary are safe and secure after the campus was placed on a cautionary lockout due to police activity in a nearby neighborhood. The lockout ended at 1:15 p.m. today.”
Lt. Darby Thomas, Mineral Wells Police Department, states: “There was a pursuit earlier today on a gentleman that had felony warrants. He was apprehended and is no threat to the public.”
