Earnest Anthony Pechacek, 84, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, passed away Monday, November 2, 2020.
Mass of Christian Burial: 2 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 108 N. W. 4th Ave., Mineral Wells.
Interment: Memory Gardens of the Valley, 5600 Mineral Wells Hwy., Weatherford.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday with Rosary at 7 p.m. at White’s Funeral Home, 101 N. E. 4th Ave., Mineral Wells.
Earnest was born September 20, 1936 in Vernon, son of William and Louise Zbranek Pechacek. He married Wilma Joanne Fawcett and they spent 62 happy years together raising their family. Earnest proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. He was a faithful member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, and also a member of the Lion’s Club and Knights of Columbus. Earnest retired after working 35 years with Texas Power & Light and serving two terms as a Palo Pinto County Commissioner. After retirement, Earnest enjoyed spending time with his wife at casinos and playing poker with friends. He was a good man that worked hard and loved his family deeply.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Louise Pechacek.
Survivors: Wife, Wilma Joanne Pechacek; son, Mike Pechacek; daughters, Sharon Shepherd and husband, Mitchell, and Margaret Griffith and husband, Bruce; grandchildren, Mark Pechacek, Melanie Pechacek, Mackenzie Pechacek, Tori Shepherd, Tyson Shepherd, Taylor Griffith, Kaitlyn Griffith, and Macy Griffith; great-grandson, Jerahmiah Bishop; and many extended family members and dear friends.
