Many can tell you about Welcome Mountain, but not many are aware of the secret that is Texas Frontier Trails Western Heritage Park (3051 North Oak Avenue) in Mineral Wells. However, this is exactly where the new mountain bike trails can be found hiding. Less than two miles from downtown Mineral Wells, these trails perfectly utilize the unused space in the park, allowing bikers to get a fresh perspective of this lesser-known piece of land in town.
Four new mountain biking trails have opened in Mineral Wells. This was announced over the weekend by WMBC (Weatherford Mountain Bike Club) after the many months of effort they put in to create these trails. Members of the club and volunteers cut through wildland to make the 4.35-mile loop that consists of four primary trails.
Intensity Level of the Trails:
Orange trail: Beginner
Green trail: Novice
Blue trail: Intermediate
Red trail: Expert
