DEPT. of PUBLIC SAFETY – PRESS RELEASE:
MINERAL WELLS – On October 19, 2020 at approximately 11:40 pm, Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers investigated a fatality crash on US Highway 180 near Lake Mineral Wells State Park in Parker County.
Preliminary investigation indicates a 2018 Chevrolet Cruz, driven by 43-year-old Candy L. Lister of Mineral Wells, was traveling west on US 180. For an undetermined reason, a pedestrian, identified as Eric Jason Lane, 47, of Avon, Indiana, was lying in the roadway of US 180. Lister was not able to avoid striking Lane who was pronounced decease at the scene.
