David “Howard” Dumis
July 20, 1949 – September 27, 2020

David Howard Dumis, age 71, passed away September 27, 2020 at his home. He was born July 20, 1949. Howard was a master mechanic for the Chevrolet House in Mineral Wells for 14 years and a gravel truck driver for years. He started driving when he was 13 years old and got his license when he was 15. Howard could fix anything, carpenting, plumbing, electrical, it didn’t matter he could figure it all out. He always said he could fix anything but a broken heart and we all know that was true.

Howard was a loving husband, dad, and grandpa to his wife, children and grandchildren, with one on the way that he couldn’t wait to see. He couldn’t beat the lung cancer that ravished his body for 2 years. The family would like to thank Dr. Hisel and his office and the Hope Home Health nurses for their help and comfort they gave the family at the end.

His parents, Odis and Estelene Dumis; nephew, Doug Dumis; sisters-in-law, Sharon Dumis, Joy Dumis, and Reba Dumis preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Marcinda (Cindy) Dumis; 6 children, Billy Dumis, Kelly Lehman, Debbie Dumis, Randy Dumis, Riley Dumis, and Becky Dumis; their spouses, Karl Lehman, Jodi Dumis, Hayley Dumis, and David Rivera; grandchildren, Kailee Lehman, Holly Lehman, Wyatt Lehman, Dominick Dumis and soon to be born, Isaac Dumis; brothers and sisters, Earl and Bertha Dumis, Gary and Barbara Dumis, James Dumis, Jimmy Dumis, Betty Dumis, Paulien and George Daughtery; mother-in-law, Ruth Fisher; brother-in-law, Lucky Fisher; sister-in-law, Gerlinda Baker; numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 3 p.m., Wednesday, September 30 at Whitt Cemetery.
