PALO PINTO COUNTY – As of September 10th, 2020, the Palo Pinto County Commissioners Court has mandated the following orders:

The following outdoor burning activities are NOT prohibited:

  • burning when used solely for recreational and noncommercial preparation of food or exclusively as a means to provide warmth in cold weather (e.g.: campfires and cooking fires) and (2) outdoor cooking on gas fired or charcoal grills

The following outdoor burning activities are strictly PROHIBITED:

  • This Order prohibits the burning of brush/tree piles when clearing land.
  • This Order prohibits the use of aerial luminaries, known as “Sky Lanterns, KongMing Lanterns or Chinese Lanterns’*.
