The Mineral Wells Rams Varsity Football Team played against the Boyd Yellowjackets on 8/28/2020 with a final score of 40-64 with the Boyd Yellowjackets taking the win.
The Rams started off with good advancement in the first quarter with a score of 20-13 and stayed ahead until entering the second quarter. At the end of the second quarter, the score was 21-27 with the Yellowjackets taking the lead. During the third quarter, the Yellowjackets continued to lead with the score at 28-35. Going into the fourth quarter, the Rams were down 28-49 with the Yellowjackets still in the lead. The Mineral Wells Rams continued to fight for the entirety of the game showing their very finest efforts to continue to gain. Although the Rams did not see a winning score, they played a great game worth being proud of. The game ended with a final score of 40-64 with the Boyd Yellowjackets taking the victory.
The MW Rams coaches were proud of the game that the team played tonight.
“I’m really proud of the way that we responded tonight. We stalled out a couple of times, but showed up with a lot more offense this time around . . . We had some penalties, but we will clean those up in the future.”
