Glen Roger Burns

May 25, 1941 – July 31, 2020

Glen Roger Burns passed away Friday, July 31, 2020. He was born May 25, 1941 in Mineral Wells to William Clyde and Iva Frances Glover Burns. He was known to all the grandkids as “Babaw”. Glen married Sue Phye on March 5, 1963, in Buffalo, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Jimmy Dale, Norman, Jack, and Raymond; sister, Ruth Garrison; grandchildren, Beth Ann Harrison, Aillsa and Alexa Burns; great-grandchildren, Levi Robinson, Lane Bloodworth, and Charlotte Robinson; brother-in-law, William Phye.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Sue Burns; children, Glenda Robinson and husband Cecil, Lloyd Burns, James Burns and wife Michelle, Frances Sanders and husband Billy, Bill Burns, Leigh Trotter, Andrea Bloodworth, Sheila Mullins and husband Steve, Crystal Simpson and husband Rick; grandchildren, Christina, Cecilia, Josh, Matthew, Lora, William Casey, David, Kathryn, Jacob, Anthony, Angelica, Stephen, Ellis, Bradley, Samantha, Valerie, Kalvin, Cassie, Tyson, Katelyn, Billy, Justice, Destiney, Bruce, Tricia, Nathan, Dallas, and Amani; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Paul Burns and wife Cheryl; sister, Ramona Evans; sisters-in-law, Roy Ann Burns and Bobbetta Shaw; brother-in-law, Robbie Phye; numerous other extended family and friends.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Palo Pinto Nursing Center, especially Ashley Pray Davis and Mary Anne Rietmann.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner-Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, August 6 at Willow Pond Cemetery.
