Dr. Michael Myers serves as the new urologist at Palo Pinto General Hospital. Within his clinic, he helps patients with urologic conditions including kidney stones, bladder cancer, prostate cancer, those in need of testosterone supplementation, urination problems, prostatic hyperplasia, incontinence, hematuria, recurrent UTI’s, Interstitial Cystitis, and more.
Dr. Myers is originally from Fort Worth, Texas and is a proud Horned Frog as a graduate from Texas Christian University. He and his wife both are TCU alumni and enjoy showing their Horned Frog pride. Dr. Myers first became interested in Palo Pinto General Hospital after speaking with his brother, a current radiologist at PPGH.
Growing up, Dr. Myers’ father served as an Ob/Gyn in Fort Worth, Texas and served as an inspiration for Dr. Myers. Dr. Myers found that, during medical school, he was more interested in treating patients within the Urology specialty and chose to take up his Urology residency at the University of South Florida.
“I just enjoyed taking care of people in Urology. It’s a good specialty for me because you can operate and see people find relief. It’s a good feeling to be able to take care of that stuff. Most things I can take care of quite quickly if it’s not chronic.”

Dr. Myers began his Urology practice at Palo Pinto General Hospital at the end of August 2020 and has enjoyed the environment at PPGH.
“I like small towns. I like the feel of small towns. I like going out to eat and seeing my patients. I like rural medicine.”

Dr. Myers has enjoyed how welcoming everyone within Mineral Wells has been. Having lived in another small town previously within Alabama, he is well-versed in the realm of treating patients in rural areas.
When Dr. Myers is not practicing medicine, he enjoys gardening, farming on his seventy-acre farm, taking care of fish, and being outdoors.
Dr. Myers and his staff are able to provide a “kind bedside manner and a personal relationship type of practice” to all patients at Palo Pinto General Hospital.
“I’m here. If you come here, you will like the environment. We are very personable, we care, and we will take care of you.”
