Arissa Viering | 9/20/2020 | Goodday Mineral Wells | MWISD Updates

Per MWISD, “Mineral Wells ISD campuses will be closed on Friday, September 25th and October 30th for teacher workdays. October 9th will be teacher/ parent conferences only. There will be no virtual or in-person instruction on those days.”

During the most recent MWISD board meeting on 9/14/2020, it was reviewed that the additional teacher workdays were added to the calendar to allow for further breaks and “catch-up” periods as the district continues to provide remote instruction to students.

“The teachers are working very hard and I haven’t heard a single complaint…”

Superintended John Kuhn, 9/14/2020, MWISD Board Meeting

Currently, there are 742 home learners as of 9/14/2020. The next enrollment change date will be 9/25/2020 at the end of the first six weeks. However, school principals have been accommodating any families that wish to switch sooner.
