The Wishing Well of Mineral Wells

A letter from the founder, Arissa Viering, about the Wishing Well:

European folklore would have us believe that whispering a wish over a well would make it come true. It was believed that the water held magical properties.

When you walk into Mineral Wells for the first time, you’re bound to hear about the Crazy Water…
However, there’s something else that you will hear bragged about in Mineral Wells, too:
The community.

The people of Mineral Wells care. In fact, the vast majority want to see that Mineral Wells as a town is rebuilt to its former glory. Several individuals have worked so hard to rebuild and renovate many historical buildings within the town. Many more individuals have worked to build their homes, businesses, and industries within Mineral Wells.

There’s no doubt about it:
This town will be a beautiful sanctuary one day.

When I first came back to Mineral Wells, I thought about this town from an anthropological view. I thought about all of the ways that I could see myself helping people to have access to resources. I thought about the passion that I had for giving a voice to those who need it most…
And I decided I wanted to do that for more than just a few people in my life…
I decided I wanted to do that for Mineral Wells…the place that I knew I would call home.

Mineral Wells is our town – it is our home.
